Dispatches from the Deadline Cave: THE SURGEON'S SECRET BABY is due Friday, so I'm hunched over my computer, revising and fine-tuning. Here's the funny thing: I don't remember writing whole stretches of this book. Don't remember what scenes come next. Don't remember what the characters say to each other. I think this is normal for lots of writers. Amnesia? Writing from The Zone? Who knows?
