After graduating from law school, where I met my husband - a classmate - I practiced civil litigation for over six years, specializing in family law.

I "retired" several years ago following the birth of my second child. Now I wrangle kids, practice yoga, do a poor job of keeping in touch with my wonderful sorors of Delta Sigma Theta sorority and read whatever I can get my hands on.

As you can imagine, I have a great fondness for lawyers. So after Stephen King's terrific book, On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft, gave me the courage to put fingers to keyboard, I decided to write about them and wrote my first romance. A Delicate Situation is, sadly, unfit for public consumption. Fortunately, I've learned a little since then.

I live in Ohio with my husband, kids and cats, Versace (left), and Sadie (below), who graciously tolerate our presence as long as we feed them on time.  Hobbes (above) passed away in January at the ripe old age of 15.
