A Blog is Born

So here’s what happened.

At the RWA national conference in Atlanta this past July, I was at dinner with my agent, Sha-Shana Crichton, my workshop co-presenter and another of Sha-Shana’s authors, gothic historical writer Eve Silver, and historical author Caroline Linden. I think I ordered the fish sandwich, and Eve, who, in her day job, is the type of scientist that deals with the germs and whatnot that cause food poisoning (I forget her official designation) grossed us out with tales of what disgusting things contaminated food can do to you. It was a lovely dinner. In between saying “Ewwww,” and “Yuck!” to everything Eve said, and talking about the upcoming RITA awards, we agreed that it might be fun to have a group blog.

Fast forward a couple of months, and Caroline talked to historical author Kristi Cook who (I think) was in touch with historical paranormal author Colleen Gleason. Kristi and Colleen also wanted to form a group blog. We talked, we procrastinated, we talked some more, and somewhere along the way historical author Sally MacKenzie, RITA winner Stephanie Feagan, and mystery author Wendy Roberts signed on.

Are you keeping all this straight?

Anyhoo, the upshot is that I’ve joined a new blog! Here’s the title: Muse, News … and a Few Loose Screws. We have not, thus far, been unable to agree about which of us are the loose screws, but we won’t worry about that now.

We’ve been blogging amongst ourselves for several days now, and we think we’re ready for prime time, even though we still need to design a template and logo. So stop by and say hi if you have a minute. In the meantime, here’s the lineup, in no particular order:

Colleen Gleason
Stephanie Feagan
Kristina Cook
Caroline Linden
Sally MacKenzie
Eve Silver
Wendy Roberts
