Biography

Ann Christopher has been in love with love stories since the fifth grade, when she read Patricia Clapp’s Jane-Emily—or maybe it was sixth grade, when she read Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights. At any rate, she grew up, went to law school, where she met her husband, and worked as an attorney for six years, handling more divorces than she cares to remember. She “retired” in 2000, before the birth of her second child, to stay home full-time, not realizing that being a lawyer was the easier job.

Around 2001-ish, after reading Stephen King’s wonderful On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft, which she recommends to all fledgling writers, she began to indulge her passion for love stories and playing with words. After paying her dues with rejections, the contest circuit, and more revisions than she cares to remember, she sold her second completed novel, Trouble, to Kensington in 2005.

Since then, she’s published seven additional novels, two novellas, and two e-reads, and is a multiple Romantic Times Reviewer’s Choice finalist, winning the 2007 award for Best Kimani Romance for her first Harlequin novel, Just About Sex.

All in all, Ann is much happier focusing on the beginnings of love affairs rather than the endings. She lives in Cincinnati and spends her time with her family, which includes two demanding rescue cats, Sadie and Savannah, and a rescue hound, Sheldon, who enthusiastically keeps the yard free of squirrels and other vermin.

If you’d like to recommend a great book (romance or narrative non-fiction, particularly true crime), share a recipe for homemade cake of any kind, or have a tip for getting your children to do what you say the first time you say it, Ann would love to hear from you through her Contact page.
